Orlando Vacation Homes

A lot of tourists come to Orlando, Florida for one reason only, the plenteousness of amusement parks. Florida is a large southern state so the location of your hotel arrangement will be an important factor, you don’t want to be too far from the action, especially if you are planning on heading there every day! Alternatively you can either get up at 5 in the mornings to be there on time or spend way to much time in the car because of the long traffic jams with your kids asking ‘Are we there yet?’ over and over and over.
When planning your holiday to Orlando one of the most important decisions you can make is the type of accommodation, this can either be a hotel/motel or a vacation home. Certain factors will dictate your preference such as how many people are in your group, location and budget.
You might think booking into a motel or hotel will be the cheapest option, however, if you want a decent hotel close to the attractions, you will find the rates are much higher. Add to this food and entertainment costs, as you will either have to eat at the hotel or restaurants every day which can push up the cost of your holiday. Another disadvantage to staying in a hotel with your family is that space will be limited and you will be sharing one or even two rooms, not a lot of fun especially if your stay is for a week or longer. Everyone needs their privacy at times.
There are fantastic different options to book a place to sleep instead of hotels and one of them is to rent a vacation home. You and your family will have a lot more space to run around in and spread out their belongings. The best part of a vacation home is that if someone needs privacy they can exclude themselves by going to their own room. A vacation home is a lot better for a family with 2 or more children or any group if you compare this to a hotel. Some have up to six sleeping areas so everyone can stay under one roof without having to sleep with earplugs.
Something that might surprise you is that most vacation rentals come with a private swimming pool and a BBQ area providing secure surroundings for the younger ones. Also if the weather is bad or one or more of you don’t feel like going out of the door one day, you don’t have to because you can stay at “home” and take a dip in the pool, get a tan, play games or watch movies. Handy at night too, you can relax and chill out at the house and you don’t even have to play with your children as they can play and watch TV in their own rooms. During this personal and precious time you can relax and energize your self to be ready for the next trip to one of the amazing amusement parks!
If you are planning a trip with a few friends or maybe even a company trip, vacation homes can also work out better value. If you take the total cost of the rental home and divide it by the number of people per night it works out a lot more economical. Put the same number of people in a hotel and you will see the difference.
Holidays are great but sometimes can cost quit a bit of money. Eating out for example can push your spending up if you don’t have a choice and you need to go to restaurants every day. With a rental home you don’t have to because it has all the conveniences of your own home, including a fully equipped kitchen. This way you can take the opportunity to cook at home or arrange a BBQ, a much cheaper option.
Like any other decision take your time when you are looking for a vacation home don’t just go with the first one you find. Make sure you have a few option before you make any choices and maybe discuss your choices with friends and family. Some of the vacation rental homes in Orlando are decorated in a modern style and have all the comfort of your own home. You can get some wonderful deals if you do the research first because the perfect vacation home with that private swimming pool is just around the corner.
Michiel Van Kets provides articles for John Macrea who owns a vacation rental home near Disney World in Orlando and likes to ensure his guests get the very best deals when they go to see ‘The Mouse’. John likes to fish and water-ski. These are a few of the other things to do on a Disney World Vacation

Beach Vacation

Going on vacation is something almost every family does at some point during the year. Maybe it is for an anniversary, summer vacation or a three day weekend. Here in Oregon the possibilities are endless. You can choose to stay at Sunriver, Bend, Timberline Lodge, Portland or as many people love, the beach. The Oregon beaches have spectacular, unpopulated beaches and many hotels to choose from. However as a smart consumer it is always good to shop around and get the best bang for your buck.
Setting criteria is vital when selecting a hotel or other vacation lodging. Maybe you really want a hotel with a beach front or ocean view. Maybe serving continential breakfast is important as well or you may want a quite hotel. Often price is the deciding factor but don’t be so quick to take price over reality.
Waking up in the morning to a parking lot is no ones idea of “ocean view”. You came to see the beach and enjoy it, this is after all your vacation. After researching hotels in Lincoln City, a popular vacation spot, most beach fronts’ range in prince from $80.00 to $200.00 a night before taxes and other fees, varying on the weekend. Typically the search ends here, it is expensive unless you don’t want a beach view.
If you decide to keep looking you will find most hotels that are not ocean view still range in prices from $50.00 to $100.00 but they try to lure you with the always allusive continental breakfast. Typically the continental breakfast is simply coffee, orange juice and some sort of pastry such as a donut. I don’t know about you but this is hardly anything I would write home about.
Getting a good night sleep is always important while on vacation. Unlike beach front views and a donut, a quiet hotel is something they can not guarantee. Other guests can be loud simply by taking the elevator up or getting a soda, you hear doors slamming and talking all night long. I do not remember a time I was ever able to get a good night sleep in the hotel. Forget sleeping in, house keeping is usually there right at ten and check out is eleven. This to me is anything but relaxing.
The solution to a happy relaxing vacation is this, a vacation rental home. A vacation rental home provides many things a hotel can not. You are able to prepare all of your own meals, which will save some money since you are not eating out. You know your sleep will not be disturbed from other guests, house keeping will not beat down your door early in the morning and you may come and go as you please. This makes your vacation much less stressful. You are able to spend quality time with your family and have more meaningful candid moments together. You can enjoy ocean views and relax feeling no pressure to go anywhere or do anything quickly. Best of all, if you have a large group or others who want to tag along, a vacation home can be very inexpensive if you split the cost.
Regardless of your price range, you should be able to find something within your budget and criteria for a vacation home. Some beach front vacation homes are around $100.00 per night and can range up to $250.00 a night. The benefits of a vacation home far out weigh those of a hotel, this much is clear. Paying a little extra money might be worth it if it means you will have more time and less pressure while spending time with the ones you love the most. Do your research and decide for yourself, but remember people don’t often say they went to a hotel and had a fabulous, relaxing time, but they do say that about a vacation home.
